Visa information

In some cases, visitors to China can enjoy a 72 hour free transit visa. Please read the following conditions carefully and keep up-to-date with the Chinese Embassy in your country at any time, otherwise you will have any uncertainty or doubt.

Transit passengers in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong can even stay 144 hours. In these 144 hours, passengers arriving through Shanghai, Jiangsu or Zhejiang airports can walk back and forth in these three places, while those passing through Guangdong can travel in Guangdong Province.

The main criterion is to include a third country in the itinerary: the passenger should hold a return ticket confirming the seat and date and a valid visa (if applicable) to the third country or region. In terms of immigration affairs, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are divided into the third region. For example, routes in the UK, the UK and the UK are not eligible because passengers do not fly to a third country or region, while routes in the UK, Shanghai, Hong Kong, the UK or Seoul, Guangzhou, Canada are very good.

144 hours visa free transit

Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other places implement the 144 hour visa free transit policy to provide convenience for international tourists to come to China. It allows passengers from 53 countries or regions to transit in the above-mentioned cities or provinces for no more than 144 hours (6 days) without a visa.

All sea and air ports, such as Lukou Airport in Nanjing, Jiangsu, Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Pudong Airport in Shanghai, Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai international cruise terminal, Wusong passenger transport center, and Shanghai railway stations, will implement visa free transit for 144 hours. Passengers can enter and leave from any of the above ports.

As for Guangdong, passengers can enter through Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an airport or Jieyang Chaoshan airport, but they can leave from any port in Guangdong.
